Through crime prevention, you and other concerned citizens can take control of your property and lives, strengthening the bonds in our community and helping to make your neighborhood a safe place to live. Keep in mind, most intruders seek easy targets. The more difficult you make it for them, the lower your chances of becoming a victim. Also, effective security measures need not be costly. Common sense prevention can go a long way. Remember - safe neighborhoods are everybody's business.

Multi-Agency Citizens' Academy

sponsored by:

POST FALLS        COEUR D ALENE       KOOTENAI COUNTY       RATHDRUM         COEUR D ALENE TRIBE

Area law enforcement agencies are pleased to announce the Multi-Agency Citizens Academy.  The Citizens Academy is free to the public. The purpose of the Academy is to develop positive relations between law enforcement and the community through education. The Academy is structured as an informational program to give citizens a broad based understanding of the inner workings of local law enforcement. Academy participants learn how local law enforcement agencies operate and gain an understanding of the challenges facing law enforcement in our rapidly growing community. Citizens participating will also have an opportunity to learn about and apply for volunteer positions available within the departments.

The Citizens Academy provides opportunities for open discussion with law enforcement officers, and Agency leaders. Participants in the Citizens Academy meet for three hours one night per week for 8 weeks as well as two Saturday classes. Upon completion, each participant will receive a certificate on graduation day.
